Gardaí appealed for 7 in-lamb ewes from the Downings area who were reported stolen.
The incident occurred between March 9 and 10.
“We are happy to say that the sheep have been located and were in fact lost and not stolen as previously thought,” a Garda spokesperson said.
“The sheep were found as a result of the appeal and the owner received a couple of calls in relation to the sheep following last weeks show. We would like to thank everybody involved for reaching out to the owner.”
