Gardaí are investigating two burglaries that occurred at houses in the area of Tubber, Cavangarden, and Ballyshannon.
The burglaries occurred at vacant properties and they were only reported this week.
In the first instance, damage was caused to the front door of a holiday home to gain entry. Nothing was stolen from the property. The home was entered at some stage between January 1 and March 30.
Secondly, the front door to the property was forced open and entry gained. The inside of the house was ransacked. Again, nothing was stolen. This house was burgled between March 1 and March 30.
“It is most likely that the two burglaries may have occurred during the shorter timeframe of March 1 to March 30 and so we appeal to anybody who may have observed any suspicious activity in that area during the month of March to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530,” Sergeant Eunan Walsh said. “If anybody can assist with relevant information we ask them to get in touch with us. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.”
