A Glencolmcille man faces a Circuit Court trial over 21 burglaries across Donegal.
Timmy O'Gara has been charged in connection with the spate of burglaries, which are alleged to have occurred over a period between May and July, 2023.
A 21-year-old of Drimroe, Glencolmcille, O'Gara appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed trial on indictment in the Circuit Court.
The case was adjourned until September 16, 2024 to allow for the service of a book of evidence in the case.
O’Gara was arrested on August 4, 2023 and subsequently charged following a planned operation by officers in the Ballyshannon Garda District.
In the case of each alleged incident, O’Gara is accused of burglary having entered a building or part of a building, committing or attempting to commit any such offence therein. The alleged offences are contrary to the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, 2001.
O’Gara, who is represented by solicitor Mr Rory O'Brien, was charged with the burglaries on various dates at properties at Cloghan, Kilcar, Glencolmcille, Inver, Carrick, Fintown, Teelin and Killybegs.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham adjourned the case until September 16.
