Teenage male arrested after €5,000 drugs seizure in Twin Towns

Gardai seized quantities of cannabis, cocaine, tablets and 'magic' mushrooms in the course of an operation that included searches in Ballybofey and Stranorlar

Gardai carried out searches in the Twin Towns

Over €5,000 worth of drugs were seized in the Twin Towns on Friday.

Gardai raided two premises and located a varity of drigs.

Search warrants were executed at two premises under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Cops seized quantities of cannabis, cocaine, tablets and 'magic' mushrooms in the course of the operation.

“All of the drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis,” a Garda spokesperson confirmed to Donegal Live.

An adult male in his late teens was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in Donegal under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The male has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Investigations are ongoing.”
