A post-mortem examination will determine the course of an investigation after a body of a man was found in Carrigart.
A Garda investigation was launched after the body was found.
A file will be prepared for the office of the Donegal Coroner, Dr Denis McCauley, who has been notifed.
Gardai and other emergency services attended the scene after the alarm was raised at around 8am on Monday.
The man's body was found at a house in the Carrigart area and a Garda probe is underway.
“The man’s body has now been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation,” a Garda spokesperson said.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner in respect of this incident.”
