A lorry battery was stolen from a lorry in the Donegal Town area recently.

Gardaí are investigating the theft at Drumlonagher, Donegal Town between Friday, August 30 at 6pm and 6am on Monday, September 2.

A lorry was parked to the rear of a business premises in that area for the weekend, during which time the lorry battery was disconnected and stolen.

A Garda spokesperson said: “If anybody observed any suspicious activity or vehicles in that area that weekend or if they can assist with relevant information, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.”
