A court has barred a man from two fast food outlets in Letterkenny after refusing to pay for meal deliveries.
Patrick Mongan was brought before Falcarragh District Court this week in connection with the incidents and has also been charged with stealing €250 worth of items from two shops in Letterkenny.
Mongan, a 37-year-old from Cashel Park, Letterkenny, has also been ordered to stay out of Spicy Food Guru and Mumbai Spice.
The accused man has also been barred from entering Mr Price and H&M in Letterkenny following alleged thefts.
Evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of Mongan was given to the court by Sergeant Jim Collins.
Mongan is charged that on September 12 he did dishonestly by deception obtain services from Mumbai Spice, Oliver Plunkett Road, Letterkenny, to wit food delivery with the intention of making gain for himself or another and causing loss to another in that he did take possession of food delivery and refused to pay for same.
The charge is contrary to Section 7 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
He faces a similar charge in respect of a food delivery from Spicy Food Guru, Port Road, Letterkenny, on September 17.
Mongan has been charged with the theft of groceries to a value of €50 from Mr Price, Middle Road, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, on September 4 last and with stealing €200 worth of clothing from H&M, Letterkenny Retail Park on August 7.
The charges are contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
Mongan was granted bail on condition that he sign on at Letterkenny Garda Station every Wednesday, that he be contactable via mobile telephone 24/7 and that he remain of sober habits.
Mongan was also ordered to have no interference with any witnesses in the case and to stay out of Spicy Food Guru, Mumbai Spice, H&M and Mr Price.
Mongan was represented by solicitor Mr Donough Cleary.
The case was adjourned to November 18 to link with other matters and legal aid was granted to Mr Cleary.
