Drugs valued at over €7,000 were seized by gardaí in Donegal this week.
Detectives from the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit carried out three separate searches on Tuesday and found a haul of illegal drugs.
During the searches, carried out as part of Operation Tara, in the Milford Garda District, cannabis plants, hallucinogenic mushrooms and amphetamines worth a combined total value of €7,710 were found.
Gardai also located cannabis cultivation paraphernalia.
A woman was arrested and subsequently released in connection with the seizure.
While the woman was released without charge, a Garda spokesperson has said that investigations are “currently ongoing”.
The spokesperson added: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has information in relation to this sale and supply of controlled substances in Co. Donegal to contact the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit in confidence on 074 916 7100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
Operation Tara was launched in 2021 with the stated aim to "disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels”.
Gardaí said the operation targets people involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, and local sale and supply of drugs.
