Two arrested following stabbing in Ballybofey

A man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, are being detained at a Garda Station while a man in his 30s was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment following the incident in Ballybofey

Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested

Two people have been arrested following an alleged stabbing incident in Ballybofey on Wednesday night.

Garda have confirmed that a man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, were arrested following what they described as an assault in Ballybofey at around 9pm.

It is understood that the incident occurred in the Navenny Street area of the town.

A man in his 30s was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment following the incident.

The arrested pair are being detained at a Garda Station in Donegal under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A Garda spokesperson told Donegal Live that investigations are ongoing.
