A 51-year-old man said he was keen to make amends for making a false report to gardaí.
Brian Lowe of 9 Glenview Cottages, Omagh, Tyrone, admitted that on March 17, 2024 at Main Street, Bundoran, he knowingly made a false report that a crime had been committed.
The offence is contrary to Section 12(a) of the Criminal Law Act 1976.

Lowe was arrested by arrangement ahead of Ballyshannon District Court on Friday, November 1.
The court heard that following his arrest, charge and caution he replied: “I am very remorseful. Drunk stupidity caused this.
“I am trying to make amends and turned up today.”
Inspector Anthony Coyle told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) directed summary disposal on the matter, meaning that it could be heard in the district court. This is subject to the district court judge accepting jurisdiction on the case.
Judge Sandra Murphy adjourned the matter to decide on jurisdiction.
Lowe was remanded on bail of €250 to appear again before Ballyshannon District Court on February 7.
Legal aid was granted to solicitor Gerry McGovern.
