Gardaí believe that a group of people may have been involved in the burglary of a heavy iron anvil in west Donegal.

The burglary occurred at The Pier, Kincasslagh over the past number of months, where an antique, dark metal, iron anvil was stolen from an unlocked shed at that location.

“The anvil in question is very heavy and it would have required a number of people to lift it,” Garda Grainne Doherty said. “We appeal to the public to please make contact with Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060 if they have any information in relation to this theft. We ask anybody who may have come across a similar item for sale on a second-hand basis over the past few months to please make contact with Gardaí.”
