Probe launched as vandals target signage in Malin

One of the road signs damaged in the incident

Several signs were vandalised in the area of Malin town on Monday evening.

Wild Atlantic Way and Historic Town signs were among those damaged by vandals.

Signs were smashed and otherwise vandalised in the criminal damage incident which is being investigated by gardai.

The incident took place at around 9pm on November 11.

Sergeant Eunan Walsh said: “We appeal to anybody who travelled in the general area of Malin town with a dash-cam between 8.30pm and 9.30pm last night to make contact with us.

“If anybody observed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area or if they can offer any relevant information, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.”
