An Garda Siochana in Milford has issued a warning to quad and scrambler users.
It comes after gardaí in Milford received a report at the weekend in relation to scramblers/quads being used in the areas of Thorr/ Dunlewey/ Glenveagh on areas of conservation and also on private property.

“We wish to advise the users of these types of machines that it is an offence to use them in areas of conservation because of the damage that they could cause,” a garda spoksperson said. “Rangers patrol these areas regularly. The quad/scrambler users in question may not have been aware that they are not allowed in these areas. They also may not have been aware that they were on private property. We appeal to everybody to always be mindful of where they are and to be respectful.”
