Letterkenny woman charged with serious assault in nightclub

A Letterkenny woman has appeared in court charged with assaulting another woman causing her harm in a nightclub.

Jodie Quill appeared before Letterkenny District Court.

The 27-year-old was charged with the alleged incident at Voodoo, Lower Main Street in Letterkenny on September 18, 2022.

She is charged that she did assault Rosalin Stewart causing her harm. The charge is Contrary to Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.

Judge Eiteain Cunningham accepted jurisdiction in the case having viewed photographs of the victim's injuries.

The case was adjourned until April 7, 2025 for a plea or to set a date for a hearing in the case.

The accused woman's solicitor, Mr Rory O'Brien, asked for statements in the case.

Quill, of Muckish Avenue, Letterkenny, was granted legal aid.
