Gardaí say there are counterfeit £20 sterling notes circulating in the north-west at present
An Garda Síochána in Donegal are warning there are counterfeit £20 sterling notes circulating in the north-west at present - and offered advice on how to distinguish them.
"We wish to make the public aware that there are fake £20 notes circulating at present. The notes are of good quality and the serial number on them ends with 257," they posted. "Please be vigilant!"
