Gardaí are investigating the alleged assault
A man required medical attention after a nighttime assault by a group of strangers in Downings.
The alleged assault occurred in the early hours of Sunday, May 18, at approximately 3.45am at Kinnalargy, Downings.
The man had been walking from Downings in the direction of the Coastguard Cottages when he was assaulted by the group of four or five men, who were unknown to him. The man sought medical attention for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage from the Kinalargy, Rossapenna road in Downings between 3am and 4.15am on May 18 to get in touch with them in Milford on 074-9153060.
