The ESB substation in Lurgybrack has been targeted again

The ESB substation in Lurgybrack, Letterkenny, has been targeted again after a recent copper theft.

In the latest incident, the metal bars of the exterior fence of the station were cut. The damage occurred between 3.30pm on Monday, July 28 and 4.15pm on Tuesday, July 29. 

It is not believed that entry was gained to the yard.

“We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any type of suspicious activity around the sub station - which is located at the top of Lurgybrack - between those dates to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty.
