A 15-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of assault at Market Square in Letterkenny.

The boy, who cannot be named, appeared with his parents at Letterkenny District Court.

He is charged with the Section 3 (1) and Section 3 (2) assaults under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act.

The alleged assaults took place at Market Square in Letterkenny on November 15, 2024.

Details of the alleged assaults were not given in court.

Gardai gave details of arresting the boy on August 29th and charging him in the presence of his father.

The boy made no reply after the caution.
