Driver in St Johnston to face court after testing positive for cocaine

A driver in St Johnston who had no tax or insurance was then arrested after testing positive for cocaine.

Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in the area on Tuesday when a car flagged an alert on their ANPR system as it had no tax or insurance. The car was stopped and the unlicensed driver was arrested after testing positive for cocaine. Court proceedings will follow.

"Do not take unnecessary and dangerous risks on the roads," An Garda Siochana warned. "Never get behind the wheel of any vehicle while you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol."
