The Book of Evidence has been served on a Buncrana man accused of assault causing harm two days after Christmas last year.
The case of Bobby McColgan, of Millfield, Buncrana, came before Buncrana District Court.
The 39–year-old is charged with assault under Section 3 (1) and Section 3 (2) of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
The charge arises from an incident that is alleged to have taken place at Linsfort, Buncrana on December 27, 2024.

Solicitor Donough Cleary told Judge Deirdre Gearty that the Book of Evidence has been served on Mr McColgan.
Mr Cleary indicated that his client wishes to go forward to the Circuit Court on a signed guilty plea.
Mr McColgan was returned for trial to Letterkenny Circuit Court, however Judge Gearty said the return for trial would be deferred to allow the signed plea to be considered first.
She granted Legal Aid for one counsel, and the case was adjourned for a period of two months.
“I will remand until November 13 to allow further consultation to take place,” the judge ruled.
