Gardaí are investigating the assault
A man is being sought by gardaí after fleeing the scene of an assault in Letterkenny which left another man hospitalised.
The incident is alleged to have occurred on the High Road, Letterkenny between approximately 00:30am and 00:40am on Saturday, September 20.
A man was reported to have been assaulted by another man who is described as being tall, of slim build, dark haired and wearing a black jacket and black trousers.
Following the incident, the man in question then took off running in the direction of Letterkenny Main Street.
The injured man attended Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for injuries he sustained, none of which are life-threatening in nature.

“We appeal to anyone who may have travelled in the area of the High Road, Letterkenny between 00:30am and 1am with a dash-cam, to make the footage available to Gardaí,” said a garda spokesperson. “If anyone can assist with relevant information, they are asked to contact Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100.”
