Gardaí are investigating the collision in Letterkenny, which left a child hospitalised

A child was hospitalised after being struck by a car at the cinema carpark in Letterkenny.

The collision occurred on Sunday, October 5, at approximately 5:15pm. The child was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment. Gardaí say her injuries are “not life-threatening in nature”. 

A garda spokesperson said: “We are not seeking anyone in relation to the incident as all parties involved were spoken to at the scene but we are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch with us.

“If anybody was in that area with a dash-cam, please make the footage available to Gardaí. Letterkenny Gardaí may be reached on 074-9167100 in connection with the incident.”
