An elderly Donegal man faces sentencing over sexual assault charges.
The man, who is aged in his late 80s, cannot be named in order to protect the anonymity of the victims in the case.
The man appeared before Judge John Aylmer at Letterkenny Circuit Court to affirm a signed plea of guilty in respect of the charges having been sent forward from the District Court.
The charges relate to incidents between December 2020 and January 2023 at a location within County Donegal. There are two victims in the case.

He faces four charges of sexual assault, contrary to section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape) (Amendment) Act 1990, plus one charge contrary to section 4 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017.
Mr Colm Smyth SC represented the man and sought the preparation of a probation and welfare report.
The man was granted bail on the same terms and conditions and is due to be sentenced during the next term of Letterkenny Circuit Court in February.
