Quigley's Point woman arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of cocaine smuggling

The woman was apprehended at London's Heathrow Airport.

An Inishowen woman has been arrested in the UK on suspicion of trying to import drugs into the country.

The woman was stopped by police at Heathrow Airport in London on November 7th last, allegedly in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

The 49-year-old was arrested and has been remanded in custody since.

The accused woman’s address was given as no fixed abode, but the accused is from Quigley’s Point in Inishowen, Co Donegal.

She is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday next, December 8th.

She is charged that on the 7th day of November 2025, was in relation to certain goods, namely cocaine, a controlled drug of Class A, knowingly concerned in a fraudulent evasion of the prohibition on the importation thereof in force by virtue of section 3(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

The charge is contrary to section 170(2) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979.

The exact amount and value of the cocaine seized during the woman’s arrest has not yet been disclosed.
