Gardaí seek driver of silver car that forced woman off the road in Lifford

Letterkenny Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have travelled on the N14 between Lifford and Letterkenny with a dash-cam on the morning of Saturday, January 24, between 6.30am to 7am

A woman was forced to drive and collide with a grass verge to prevent a head-on crash in east Donegal on Saturday morning.

Evasive action was needed as a silver car, which was travelling in the opposite direction to the woman from Letterkenny to Lifford, overtook a lorry on a bend, forcing the woman off the road to protect herself at Mulnagung, Lifford.

The incident took place on the N14 at approximately 6.40am that morning. The female driver was not injured, but damage was caused to her car. The other driver did not remain at the scene.

Letterkenny Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have travelled on the N14 between Lifford and Letterkenny with a dash-cam on the morning of Saturday, January 24, between 6.30am to 7am to contact them on 074-9167100.

“We appeal to the driver of the silver car in question to get in touch with Gardaí in Letterkenny and we also appeal to the lorry driver who was at the scene at the time to make contact with us,” they said.
