A Letterkenny father and son are to stand trial on a list of alleged charges.

Gavin and Chad Mitchell appeared before Judge Emile Daly at Letterkenny District Court.

Garda Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions had consented for both men to go forward for trial at the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court.

Garda Pauline Doherty told the court that she served the pair with a book of evidence in the case.

The Mitchells, with an address at Windmill View, Letterkenny, did not speak during the brief hearing.

Gavin Mitchell, aged 48, faces four charges of theft and criminal damage on October 2, 2023 at Teach Earagail, Glencar Irish, Letterkenny.

He is also charged with theft and criminal damage on October 31, 2023 at 60 Upper Main Street in Letterkenny.

Chad Mitchell, aged 29, is charged with two offences.

He is charged that on April 8, 2024, he entered 39 Oaklands Park, Letterkenny as a trespasser and caused criminal damage within.

Judge Emile Daly applied the alibi warning and legal aid was granted to solicitor Patsy Gallagher for both men.
