'We are appealing for the assistance of the public in connection with a criminal damage incident that occurred at William Street, Raphoe,' a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said

Two wheelie bins were set alight at the side of a house in the early hours in east Donegal.

The incident of criminal damage occurred at William Street, Raphoe in the early hours of Monday, March 9, at approximately 2.45am.

“We are appealing for the assistance of the public in connection with a criminal damage incident that occurred at William Street, Raphoe,” a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said.

“The fire services attended the scene and extinguished the fire. Thankfully, the fire did not spread. We appeal to anyone who may be in a position to assist our investigation with relevant information to contact us in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. If anyone travelled in the area of William Street or within the area of Raphoe Town between 2am and 2.45am with a dash-cam, we ask them to make the footage available to us.”
