Two males flee scene of attempted burglary of house in Letterkenny

Two males fled the scene of an attempted burglary in Letterkenny.

The incident occurred in the area of Dromore in the early hours of Thursday, April 2, shortly after 4:10am.

The males, who were dressed in black clothing, attempted to break into a house in that area but they left immediately upon being disturbed.

Gardaí say nothing was stolen but a small amount of damage was caused to the garage door and to the back door of the house.

“We appeal to any road users with a dash-cam who may have travelled in that area between 3:30am and 4:30am that morning to get in touch with us,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty. “We are particularly interested in any sightings of or dash-cam footage of a black Seat Ibiza with a partial registration of ‘FHZ’ that is believed to have been in the area at the time. 

“If anyone observed any type of suspicious activity, people or vehicles in that area that morning, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line.”
