Gardaí in Letterkenny are appealing for any witnesses to come forward

A Letterkenny resident spotted two men outside of her house. 

The incident occurred in the area of Luí Na Gréine, Oldtown, on Saturday, April 18, shortly before 11.30pm. 

The resident heard a bang and looked out only to see a man in the back of her car and another man standing nearby. Upon realising that they had been disturbed, the two men jumped the fence and fled. The men were described as being in their 20s and one was wearing a black jumper. The rear windscreen of the car had been smashed during the course of the incident, but nothing was stolen.

“We appeal to anyone who may have observed two men on foot in that area around that time to get in touch with Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100,” a garda spokesperson said. “If anyone was in that area with a dash-cam between 11pm and Midnight, we ask them to get in touch with us also. The Garda Confidential Line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
