The man was detected driving at 123km/h
A County Derry motorist caught travelling at 123km/h in Donegal has been fined in court.
Garda Michael Kilcoyne told Letterkenny District Court that he was operating a static speed check at Dromore, Letterkenny when he detected a Lexus IS200 driving at 123km/h in an area governed by a 100km/h limit.
A fixed charge penalty notice was issued on January 30, 2021 which remains unpaid.
The driver was identified as Caolan O’Hara (25), with an address at Columbia Park, Dungiven.
O’Hara, who has no previous convictions, was not present in court.
Judge Brendan O’Reilly fined O’Hara €250.
