Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a burglary that took place in Meadowbank, Letterkenny between 1.55am and 2.15am on Saturday, June 4.
Gardaí say entry was gained to the home by ripping off a small side window to the rear of the house. Garda Gráinne Doherty said: "The residents were actually in the house at the time. They heard a bit of commotion downstairs and it is believed that a number of people may have been in this house and may have been involved in this burglary."
A number of jackets are believed to have been stolen from the house. There may have been other items taken that gardaí are yet to be made aware of. Gardaí are appealing to residents in the Meadowbank area to contact gardaí in Letterkenny 074 91 67 100 if they can help gardaí with inquiries.
