Letterkenny court house.
A Letterkenny man charged with the unlawful taking of his mother’s car has been remanded in custody.
Liam Boyle, 25, with an address at College Park, Letterkenny, was arrested on foot of a warrant this week.
Gardaí received a call at around 2am on Thursday, June 9, to attend the home of Eileen Boyle.
Detective Garda Grainne McLoone told Buncrana District Court that Boyle was arrested at the scene and conveyed to Letterkenny Garda Station.
Previously, Boyle appeared before a special court sitting in Sligo on May 14 and there were no objections to bail at that time, Detective Garda McLoone said.
State solicitor Mr Ciaran Liddy said there was an allegation against Mr Boyle regarding the unlawful taking of his mother’s car.
Detective Garda McLoone applied for Boyle’s bail to be revoked and for the accused to be remanded in custody.
Solicitor for Boyle, Mr Ciaran Hasan, said his client was attempting to make arrangements for a permanent address and was consenting to be kept in custody.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham adjourned the matter to June 13.
