A disposal order has been granted for a Volkswagen Beetle discovered by Gardai in Donegal.
At Letterkenny District Court this week, Sergeant Jim Collins applied for the order.
Sergeant Collins told the court that thee car was discovered abandoned.
With Gardai unable to make contact with the registered owner, Sergeant Collins said he was seeking a disposal order.
This was granted by Judge Éiteáin Cunningham.
Under The Police (Property) Act, 1897, Gardai can make such orders where they cannot ascertain either the owner or any claimant of the property.
