Peggy McGlinchey, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Beach Hill Manor, Fahan of Peggy McGlinchey, 19 St Egney’s Terrace, Buncrana.

Wife of the late Danny McGlinchey, dear mother of Rita and Susan, much loved grandmother of Emily, Amy, Stephan, Fiona and Lisa.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin’s funeral home, Buncrana with viewing from 2-4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Removal from there on Friday at 4 pm going to her residence.

Funeral from there on Saturday going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Rose Conaghan, Meenlaragh, Gortahork

The death has taken place in the Lakehouse Nursing Home, Portnablagh of Rose Conaghan, Meenlaragh, Gortahork.

Survived by her brother Peadar and sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews and a circle of family.

Remains reposing at Christ the King Church, Gortahork. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 11, at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Marie Brennan (née Anderson), Ballydevitt, Donegal Town 

The death has occurred of Marie Brennan (née Anderson), Ballydevitt, Donegal Town. She passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital. 

Remains reposing at her late residence on Tuesday from 3pm. Marie’s remains will leave there on Wednesday at 6.20pm to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Killymard for 7pm to reside overnight.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Máire Curran, née McGeady, Fanaboy, Gortahork

The sudden death has taken place of Máire Curran, née McGeady, Fanaboy, Gortahork.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, her parents and brother Patrick. Survived by nieces and nephews and a circle of family and friends.

Her remains reposed on Monday evening at Gortahork Funeral Premises. Funeral from there on Tuesday for 11am Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork, with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Denis Boyle, 33, Wolfe Tone Place, Glencar, Letterkenny

The sudden death has taken place at his home of Denis Boyle, 33, Wolfe Tone Place, Glencar, Letterkenny, retired staff of the Dept. of Justice, Limerick.

Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Anna and brother Patrick (Paddy). Deeply regretted by his brother Charlie (Chucky) and wife Aishling (Bruckey, Cashelgar, County Galway), nephews Dylan and Sean, nieces Anna and Laura, extended family, wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Tuesday, January 10, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm with removal to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for Reception Prayers at 5pm, reposing overnight for 11am Requiem Mass on Wednesday, January 11, which can be viewed online by using the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny  followed by interment in the family plot in New Leck Cemetery.

The death has taken place of Peter Friel, Araheera, Fanad Head and Ballure. He passed away peacefully at Ard Aoibhinn Nursing Home, Carndonagh.
 
His remains will repose at Ballure, Fanad (F92 E034). Removal from there at 10.30am on Wednesday, January 11, arriving at St Mary's Church, Fanavolty for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard
 
Rosary at 8pm. Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral

John Patrick Moore, Main Street, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Patrick Moore, Main Street, Convoy.

Predeceased by his father Charlie and mother Mary Ellen. Deeply regretted by his brother Charlie, sisters Anna, Brid, Teresa, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and wider family circle.

His remains are reposing at Terence McClintock’s funeral home, Convoy.

Strictly private please at the request of the deceased.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, January 10, at 1.15pm.

The funeral cortége will travel via Main Street, Convoy and proceed to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan for private cremation.

Anne Connolly, Old Road, Mountcharles, Ballintra, and Rathfarnham, Dublin

The death has occurred of Anne Connolly, Old Road, Mountcharles, Ballintra, and Rathfarnham, Dublin.

She passed away peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her beloved partner, Jimmy McGroarty, Brownhall, Ballintra, her sisters, Rita, Eileen and her brother Ronnie. Deeply regretted by her niece, Aisling, her nephews, Michael, Patrick, Andrew and Eoin, grandnieces, grandnephews and all extended family.

Anne's remains will arrive on Tuesday at 7pm to St Brigid's Church, Ballintra to repose overnight. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am, with further arrangements to be announced later.

Thomas McGowan, (Tommy), Portnason, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Thomas McGowan, (Tommy), Portnason, Ballyshannon. He passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his caring family.

Predeceased by his parents Phil and Elizabeth. Tommy will be forever remembered by his wife, Maura, daughters Deirdre (Justin), Sinead (John) and Nuala (Glenn). Much loved by his grandchildren Cora, Rory, Robyn and Luke.

Reposing at McGee’s Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon on Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from his late residence on Wednesday at 10.30am to arrive at St. Joseph's Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 2pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Ballyshannon Community Nursing Unit c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon or any family member.

House private to family, neighbours and close friends.

Sean Boyle, Creevy, Ballyshannon

The sudden death has occurred of Sean Boyle, Creevy, Ballyshannon.

Sadly missed by his son Anthony (Louise), daughters Nicola (Mark) and Rhona (Peter) their mother Angela, grandchildren AJ, Catie, Micheál, Cormac, Liam, Richard and Eimear. Predeceased by his brother Packie and sadly missed by his sisters Anne, Mai and brother Louis, nieces, nephews and all his extended family and his wide circle of friends.  

Reposing at John McGee & Sons Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal from his late residence, Creevy, Ballyshannon on Thursday at 10.30am going to St. Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery.

The death occurred in Sligo University Hospital, after a short illness of Harry Quinn, Ballybrillaghan, Frosses.

Predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Mary, and his brother Eamonn. He is survived and will be sorely missed by his wife Michelle and son Shane, sisters Maureen Quinn, Bernadette Gallagher (Danny), Kathleen McHugh (Terence), parents-in-law Michael and Ann McGloin, Ballyshannon, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, niece, nephews, cousins, extended family and all his many friends.

His remains reposed at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles on Monday evening. Removal from there on Tuesday, January 10 at 1pm, to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses for funeral Mass.

The death occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Doherty (The Butcher) Malin Road, Culdaff.

Beloved wife of George, devoted mother to John, Noelle, Aine, Bernard and James. Loving grandmother to Darragh, Eoghan, Caoimhe, Kealan, Aoife. Dearly loved and sadly missed by her daughters-in-law, son-in-law, family and friends.

Terence (Terry) Friel, Skerries, Dublin/Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Terence (Terry) Friel, Skerries, Dublin/Stranorlar, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Mary, children Tara, Caroline and Niall, adored five grandchildren Olan, Ali, Dara, Fionn and Orla, brothers Mel, Seamus and Ernan, sons-in-law Ciarán, Oisin and Eoin, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence, Tuesday, January 10, from 6pm to 8pm, removal Wednesday to St Patrick's Church, Skerries, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass, burial afterwards in Ardla Cemetery.

The peaceful death occurred of James (Jim) Duffy, 473 Killea Cottages.

Predeceased by his wife Mary, son Martin, brother Richard and sister Mary. Deeply missed by his loving daughters, sons, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law. Jackie and Tommy, Bernadette and Raymond, Shaun and Paula, Rosemary and Gerald, Brendan and Clare, his brother Hugh (Limerick) and sisters Lily Lyden and Jean Keys, (Scotland), grandchildren Shauna, Anthony, Megan, Matthew, Luke, Daniel, Annie, Holly, James, Lily, Connor and Ronan.

Remains reposing at his late residence from 11am-11pm Tuesday, January 10. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 11 at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Killea, with burial afterwards in Newtowncunningham Cemetery.

Mary Clement Broderick, (née Harkin), Marne Avenue, New Southgate, London and formerly Clonmany

The death has occurred of Mary Clement Broderick, (née Harkin), Marne Avenue, New Southgate, London and formerly Clonmany.

Widow of the late Patrick Broderick of Broadford, County Limerick. Beloved mother of Elizabeth, Marian, Maeve and Pearse, mother-in-law to Frank, Alfredo, Nigel and Clair, and loving grandmother to Joseph, Roisin, Edel, Aine, Isabel, Eoin, Aidan and Conall. Sorely missed by extended family and friends in Ireland, England and the USA, and by her many friends and neighbours in London.  

She will repose at Leverton's Undertakers, Muswell Hill, London N10 on Sunday January 22, 4-6 pm and her Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 23 at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Arnos Grove, London N11. Burial at New Southgate Cemetery. Family flowers only.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Queen, (née Harron), Main Street, Ballintra and late of Cambuslang, Glasgow

The death has occurred of Jacqueline (Jackie) Queen (née Harron), Main Street, Ballintra and late of Cambuslang, Glasgow.

She passed away peacefully, in her Glasgow home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, January 4. Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Annie Harron and her brother, Billy. Sadly missed by her partner Colin, daughters Carol, Laura and Julie, her grandchildren and great-grandchild, her sister, Elizabeth, brother-in-law Robert, nieces Diane, Cheryl, and Lauren and nephew Kyle (Ballybofey).
