Teresa Leeper, Ballybofey

The tragic death has occurred of Teresa Leeper on December 15 in Birmingham.

Teresa will be sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, daughters Caroline and Sharon and son Martin, sons-in- law, daughter- in- law, sisters Bernadette and Rosaleen, brothers-in-law, her adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Teresa’s remains will be received into our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Yardley Wood, Birmingham on Monday, January 23 at 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 11am followed by burial at Widney Manor Cemetery. Teresa's funeral will be live streamed on the following link www.ourladyoflourdesbirmingham.co.uk

Ursula McGroarty, Ballintra

The death has occurred peacefully at Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Homeof Ursula Mc Groarty (née Ma Grath), Tubbernahorey, Ballintra.

She will be sadly missed by her sons Paul ,Jude,Terry,Barry and Brian; her adored grandchildren, Billy, Curtis, Craig, Micky, Tia, Grace, Ciara, Tj and great-grandson Luke; partners and wives.

Her remains reposing at the family home Tubbernahorey Ballintra on Friday from 3pm until 10pm and Saturday from 3pm until 10pm. House private at all other times please.

Funeral arriving at St Briget's Church Ballintra on Sunday morning for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Mass can be streamed on Churchservices/ballintra

Ned Burke, Monaghan, Cork and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family, of Edmond (Ned) Burke, Foremass, Scotstown, County Monaghan and formerly of Ballyshannon and Watergrasshill, County Cork. 

Predeceased by his cherished daughter Rosemarie, he will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Marie, sons Patrick and Finbarr, daughter Margaret, daughter-in-law Trish, son-in-law Mick, grandsons Rory, Malachi and Liam, brother James and sister Mary (Birmingham), relatives, friends and neighbours.

Edmond's remains will repose at his home on Friday with the house private to family only please.

Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St Mary's Church, Urbleshanny for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

Sophia Gallagher, Falcarrgh

Fuair Sophia Uí Ghallchóir, (née Ní Fhearraigh) Cill Ulta, An Fálcarrach bás i dTeach Altranais an Lakehouse faoi chúram séimh na foirne ar an 12ú Eanáir. Ar shlua na bifiréan roimpi tá a céile dílis John (John Húdai), a deartháir agus a triúr deirfiúr. Caill mhór dá clann Hugh, Máire agus Caitlín agus a gcéilí, garpháistí, dá cuid daoine muinteartha, cairde agus comharsana dílse.

Dhéanfar Sophia a fhaire ina baile i gCill Ulta Déardaoin agus Dé hAoine. Sroichfidh a corp a teach at a hocht a chlog tráthnóna Déardaoin agus béidh faire sa teach Dé hAoine ón 1-9 a chlog. Déarfar an paidrín anocht Déardaoin ag a 8 a chlog agus amárach Dé hAoine ag a 9 a' chlog. Cuirfear í i Reilig Ghort a' Choirce Dé Sathairn indiaidh Aifreann 11 a chlog i dTeach Pobail Chríost Rí. Beidh Aifreann an Tórraimh á chraoladh ar leathanach Facebook an adhlacóra agus ar cheamara Theach Pobail Chríost Rí.

The death has occurred of Sophia Gallagher (née Ferry), Killult, Falcarragh, Donegal in the loving care of Lakehouse Nursing Unit.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband John (John Húdaí), her brother and sisters. Sadly missed by her children Hugh, Máire and Caitlín, their spouses, her grandchildren, relatives, friends and kind neighbours. 

Sophia's remains will arrive at her home (Eircode F92 N1Y6) on Thursday at 8pm and will repose on Friday from 1pm to 9pm. Rosary will be at 8pm on Thursday night and on 9pm Friday night.

The Funeral Mass will be in Teach Pobail Chríost Rí, Gortahork (Eircode F92 DP86) on Saturday at 11am with internment afterwards in Reilig Ghort a' Choirce.

Christopher Lowther, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Christopher Lowther, Mountcharles.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family, sons and daughter, Ryan, Jamie, Elisha, Darragh and Mark, his parents Kevin and Ann, his brothers Ciaran, Kevin, Ronan and Cathal, his sister Aisling, extended family and friends.

His remains are reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, (eircode F94WN24) on Thursday from 6.30pm until 8.30pm, and on Friday from 4pm until 8pm.

Removal from there on Saturday, going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Patrick Molloy, Glenties

The death has occurred of Patrick Molloy, London and formerly of Meenanall, Glenties.

Predeceased by his parents Denis and Annie Molloy. Beloved husband of Jean, and a much loved father of sons Patrick and David and daughter-in-law Amy. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jacob, Tadhg and Fionn.

Requiem Mass will take place at 12 noon on Saturday in St Connell's Church, Glenties with interment of ashes in the local cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/glenties

Danny Doherty, Dunfanaghy

The death has taken place in the Lakehouse Nursing Home of Danny Doherty, Murroe, Dunfanaghy, originally of Glasgow.

Predeceased by his brothers Packie and Tommy, he is survived by his sister Mary Coyle, Upper Dore, Gweedore.

His remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92DN4X) on Friday from 12pm to 2pm with removal afterwards to the Church of the Holy Cross, Dunfanaghy for Funeral Mass at 3pm, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Eileen Kennedy, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Eileen Kennedy, The Glebe, Killybegs.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Frankie, sons Colin, Ronan and Aidan, daughters in law Clare and Laura, grandchildren Róisín and Ciara, sister Mary, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her residence on Thursday from 6pm to 10pm.

Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs for 11am Funeral Mass. Removal afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium Cavan for cremation.

Mary Teresa McGinty, Churchill

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Mary Teresa Mc Ginty (éWalsh) of Cabra-Glebe, Churchill.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. House is strictly private to family and friends, please. 

Funeral Mass on Friday January 13 at 11am in Glendowan Church with burial afterwards in Temple Douglas Cemetery. Bright formal dress code on the day of the funeral please, at the request of the deceased.

Br Timothy (Jackie) McLaughlin, Laois and Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Br Timothy (Jackie) McLaughlin, De La Salle Brothers, Miguel House, Castletown, Laois and late of Church Road, Carndonagh.

Predeceased by his parents Celia and Joe, brothers Martin and Joseph. Greatly missed by his sisters Maura, Rosarie, Veronica, Ann and his brother Brian, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and especially by his confreres in religion and the staff of Miguel House.

Reposing in Miguel House on Thursday with Evening Prayer and Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 2pm, with burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery cemetery Castletown.

Daena Tighe, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Daena Tighe, 1 Marian Park, Buncrana, Donegal, F93 T9R2.

Deeply shocked and saddened by her death are her mother Sharon, sisters Alex and Kayla, her father Tony, her uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Daena's remains reposing at 1 Marian Park, Buncrana. House Private from 10pm to 10am and on Friday morning, please.

Removal from there on Friday at 10.15am travelling to St Mary's Church Cockhill for 11am Requiem Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill

Daniel O'Donnell, Athlone and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Daniel (Danny) O'Donnell, Ballybay, Kiltoom, Athlone, Roscommon / Athlone, Westmeath / Letterkenny, peacefully on Tuesday January 10, 2023. Ballybay, Kiltoom, Athlone and formerly of Carrenagh, Letterkenny.

Predeceased by his parents Willie and Mary, sister Margaret and brother Liam. Sadly missed by his loving wife Carmel, daughter Mary, son Tony, grandson Yurii, brothers Bob (Coventry) and Francie (Carrenagh, Letterkenny), in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Private cremation will take place for family members only. House private please. No flowers please.

Mary McKelvey, Killygordon

The death has occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of her family and staff at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, of Mary Mc Kelvey, Carricknamana, Killygordon, and who resided later at the home of her daughter, Deirdre, in Swords, Dublin.

Beloved wife of the late Seamus and much loved mother of Declan, Deirdre and cherished sister of the late Joseph. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, son in law Ivan, grandchildren Grace, Hannah and their dog Bobby, extended family and friends.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral leaving from there on Friday at 12.30pm for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon at 1pm. Interment will take place afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Teresa Duncan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Teresa Duncan, 3 James Larkin Court, Oldtown, Letterkenny.

Sadly missed by her husband Tony, sons John and Liam, daughters Emma, Lisa and Ashlinn, nephew Micky, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her infant son Shane.

Her remains will repose at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny, from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday. You are welcome to sympathise with Teresa's family at her late residence.

Cremation will take place on Friday in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cancer Research c/o Jim McGlynn, Funeral Directors, Glencar, Letterkenny, or any family member. 

Peggy McGlinchey, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Beach Hill Manor, Fahan of Peggy McGlinchey, 19 St Egney’s Terrace, Buncrana.

Wife of the late Danny McGlinchey, dear mother of Rita and Susan, much loved grandmother of Emily, Amy, Stephan, Fiona and Lisa.

Her remains are reposing at McLaughlin’s funeral home, Buncrana with viewing from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday and Friday.

Removal from there on Friday at 4pm going to her residence.

Funeral on Saturday going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jacqueline Queen, Ballintra and Glasgow

The death has occurred of Jacqueline (Jackie) Queen (née Harron), Main Street, Ballintra and late of Cambuslang, Glasgow.

She passed away peacefully, in her Glasgow home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, January 4.

Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Annie Harron and her brother, Billy. Sadly missed by her partner Colin, daughters Carol, Laura and Julie, her grandchildren and great-grandchild, her sister, Elizabeth, brother-in-law Robert, nieces Diane, Cheryl, and Lauren and nephew Kyle (Ballybofey).

Funeral arrangements in Glasgow are to be confirmed at a later date.
