The Drum Bar
One of Letterkenny's best known and respected businessmen has passed away in his 95th year.
Cormac Gallagher ran the Drum Bar on lower main street in Letterkenny for many years. He was well liked and regarded by his many customers.
Cormac is predeceased by his wife Annette in 2013, sister Elizabeth (Lizzie) Cummins and brothers Denis and Peter.
Mr Gallagher passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Sunday, June 18 surrounded by his loving family. Mr Gallagher was formerly from Killymasney, Glenswilly.
He will be very much missed by his loving son Cormac, daughters Ann-Marie and Mary and son-in-law Nader, grandchildren Leda and Ana, brothers James and Charlie (Glenswilly), Pat (New Jersey, USA) and sisters Nellie Devine (New Jersey, USA) and Rose Doherty (Dublin), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.
Cormac’s remains will be reposing at his late residence on Tuesday, June 20, from 1pm until 10pm with Rosary at 9pm.
Funeral from there on Wednesday, 21st June, at 10.30am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Family time on the morning of the Funeral, please.
