Leonard Farrelly, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Donegal hospice letterkenny of Leonard Farrelly, Milfield Heights, Buncrana formally of Castle avenue. Son of the late Iris and Henry, brother of Elizabeth, Billy & Ivor, uncle of Grainne and Tara. Remains reposing at McLaughlin and McLaughlin’s funeral directors main street Buncrana from 5pm until 8pm on Friday 3rd and 2pm until 6pm on Saturday 4th.
Removal from there on Sunday at 8:40 am going to St Mary's Oratory Buncrana for 9a.m. requiem Mass with cremation afterwards in Lakeland Crematorium Cavan. Funeral service can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/buncrana.

Barry Mc Laughlin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Barry Mc Laughlin of Luton, Bedfordshire, England and formerly of Clar, Donegal Town who passed away suddenly on 21st April in the L&D Hospital, Luton. Sadly missed by his children, Chantelle and Danny, his mother Geraldine, sisters Siobhan (Eamonn) Arlene (Jay) and brothers: Seamus & Sean (Melanie), nieces & nephews and extended family. Roseanna Brady, Letterkenny and Creeslough

The death has occurred, at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Roseanna Brady (née Rodden) 1A Fernhill, Glencar, Letterkenny and formerly of Derryfad, Creeslough.

Deeply regretted by her husband Jimmy, daughters Tracy (David), Noreen (John) and Charlotte, sons James (Vanessa), Peter and Anthony and grandchildren Ciaran, Sean, Bethany, Callum, Stevie, Halle, Reeva and Kash.
Sadly missed by sisters Marian and Bridget, brothers Mandy and John, nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends

Remains reposing at her late residence from 11am Saturday, May 4. House private from 10pm to 11am. Rosary on Saturday and Sunday night at 9pm.

Requiem Mass in St Michael’s Church, Cresslough, at 11am on Monday, the 6th of May followed by burial in Doe cemetery.

Celine French, St Johnston

The death has taken place of Celine French Nee Gamble, Drumenon, St. Johnston. Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Noel Doherty, Quigley’s Point

The death has occurred peacefully of Noel (Allison) Doherty, Primrose Villa, Whitecastle, Quigley’s Point on May 1, 2024.

Much-loved youngest son of the late Sandy and Tillie Doherty, loving brother of Albert, Edmund and the late Frank, dearest brother-in-law of Joan, Audrey and Marina, a dear uncle and great-uncle.

Funeral leaving his late home Primrose Villa, Whitecastle, Quigley’s Point on Sunday afternoon, May 5 at 2.15pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Greenbank Presbyterian Church at 3.00pm. Burial afterwards in St. Finian’s Parish Churchyard, Redcastle.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Beaver Away (Uganda) or James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Carndonagh c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Londonderry BT47 3QQ or any family member.

Joseph Andrew Hunter, Creeslough

The death has taken place in London on the 30th April 2024 of Joseph Andrew Hunter, late of 55 Massinass, Creeslough, Co Donegal. Private cremation in London at future date. Joe will be deeply missed by his family and friends here in Ireland.

Cathal Friel, Carlow and Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Cathal Friel, Killinure, Tullow, Carlow and Mountcharles, Donegal, who passed away suddenly on  May 1 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny; predeceased by his loving wife Sarah (Sally), brother Conn and sister Marion. Loved and cherished by his daughters Annie and Mary, his sons-in-law Simon and Johnnie, grandchildren Chelsea, Sara-Ann and her partner Jonathon, Laura and her husband Cormac, and Michael, great-grandchildren Zara, Aria and Noah, his brothers Liam, Dan and Eamon and sister, Sr Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.Funeral arrangements to follow.

Kathleen Bowden

The death has occurred of Kathleen Bowden (née Gallagher) of Cor na Gaoithe, Clogher West, Narin, Portnoo, Co Donegal. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her daughter Anne, sister Rose, daughter-in-law Maura, son in law Rónán and grandchildren Katie, Áine, Iarla and Rian.
Reposing at her home at Narin, Portnoo from 11 am to 10pm on Friday, May 3. Rosary at 9pm. Funeral from there to St Conal's Church, Kilclooney for 11am requiem Mass on Saturday morning 4th May with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Hugh Coyle, Western Australia and Buncrana

The death has taken place in Bullsbrook, Western Australia of Hugh Coyle, late of St Columba’s Avenue, Buncrana.

Brother of Rosemary (Kelly), Brian, Kathleen (McCay), Danny, Eamon and the late Aeneas and Breda (Concannon).

Hugh will be deeply missed by his family and friends here in Ireland, his nieces Brid and Caitriona and their families in Perth and Queensland. His dear friends and neighbours in Western Australia will miss him very much.

Hugh’s funeral service followed by private cremation will take place at Bowra and O’Dea, Funeral Directors, Stirling St, Perth Wednesday 8th May at 2.30pm (7.30 am IST). The link to their website is bowraodea.com.au.

Patrick Stewart, Lifford

The death has taken place at his home of Patrick Stewart, 55 Croaghan Heights, Lifford.

Beloved husband of the late Anne, much loved father of Sinead, Tina, Marie, Anne and Josephine, and brother of Michael, Jean, Kathleen and the late Thomas, Hugo and Angus.

Reposing at his home on Friday, May 3 from 2pm.

Funeral leaving his home on Sunday, May 5 at 12.15pm for Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 1p.m. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters and family circle.

Donal K O'Boyle, Bunbeg and Letterkenny

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Donal K O' Boyle, Cheshire Apartments, Letterkenny, originally of Knockastolar, Gweedore.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Nora. Sadly missed by his his brothers Finbarr, Vincent and Declan, sisters Philomena, Gloria, Marion and Carmel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg, F92 DN4X on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm and tomorrow from 3pm until 8pm. Rosary nightly at 8pm.

Michael Gallagher, Ballyshannon and Birmingham

The death has occurred of Michael Gallagher, Birmingham and formerly of 31 Cluain Barron, Ballyshanonn.

Predeceased by his parents Mickey and Dolly, his wife Carmel, son Richard, his brothers Seamus, Jackie, Eugene, sisters Peggy, Anna and Noelle. Sadly missed by his daughters Josephine, Julie, Rosemary, grandchildren, his brothers Cathal, Danny, Brendan, Fergal sisters Sheila Killiea, Regina Ayres, nieces, nephews and all extended family and friends.

Brı́d Fitzpatrick, Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Brı́d Fitzpatrick, née Murrin, of Malinbeg, Glencolmcille and Erith, Kent on March 28 at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent.

Beloved wife to Bernard, much loved mother to Paul, Anna (Thomas) and Susan (Tim), missed by all her grandchildren, Joseph, Libby, Moya, Áine, Conal and Gearóid, her sister Mary, her loving cousins Carmel and Geraldine, Mark her nephew and all of her many family and friends.

Funeral Mass on Friday, May 10 at 10.30am in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church Franciscan Friary, Carlton Road, Erith, DA8 1DN.

This will be followed by cremation in Eltham Crematorium, Crown Woods Way, London SE92AZ.
