Barry Breslin, Kilcar 

The tragic death has occurred of Barry Breslin following an accident in Perth, Australia.

Beloved father to his son Tommy. Sadly missed by his loving Fiancée, Melissa, his parents Mary and Seamus, his brothers Owen (Beth & Hazel) and Shane (Gerard), his grandmother, Mary Ann (Byrne), his aunts, uncles, cosuins, extended family, many friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at his residence (Straleel F94 KO62) on Wednesday, October 23 from 4.00pm until 10.00pm and again on Thursday from 12.00pm until 10.00pm. Entry via Bogagh where shuttle buses will be available from the old Bogagh Co-Op. House private on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.00am in St Cartha's Church Kilcar with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. The funeral Mass can be viewed live here

Sister Bríd Gallagher, Gweedore

The death has occurred at the Lake House Nursing Home Dunfanaghy of Sister Bríd Gallagher of Glassagh, Gweedore. Predeceased by her parents; Joe Pheadair and Kit Gallagher, brothers; Peadar, Charlie, John and Pádraig, sisters; Mary Sullivan and Sheila Fletcher. Sadly missed by her sisters; Sr. Kathleen Gallagher, Nellie Caffery and Anna Moran and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty's Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) from 4pm to 8pm this evening, Monday. October 21 and tomorrow from 1pm to 6.30 pm. Removal afterwards to St Colmcille's Church, Cnoc Fola for 7pm to repose overnight. Funeral Mass at 11am on Wednesday, 23rd, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Don Brolly, Lifford

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Don Brolly, 381 Coneyburrow Road, Lifford.

Beloved son of the late Annette and Daniel and much loved brother of Marie, Noeleen, Brian, Aine and the late Shaun. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and family circle.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday, October 22, from 12 noon. Family time please from 10pm. to 11am.  Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, October 23 at 10.15am for requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 11am. Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the Parish Webcam.

Cathal Dunleavy, Glenvar

The death has taken place of Cathal Dunleavy, Meentaugh, Glenvar, Co Donegal, suddenly at his residence.

Cathal is predeceased by his grandparents and his Granny Kathleen, cousin Calum and friend Liam.

Adored son of Charlie & Mother Ann and much-loved brother of Marie, Donna, Kevin, Laura, Sharon, Megan, Raychel and Eoghan. 

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken father and his mother, siblings, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandad Anton, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 8pm on Monday, October 21, Eircode F92D897. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral to arrive at St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Glenvar (F92d897) for funeral Mass at 11am on Wednesday morning, October 23rd followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Patsy O’Neill, Letterkenny and Newtowncunningham

The peaceful death has taken place at his home on Monday, October 21 of Patsy O’Neill, 3 Convent Road, Letterkenny F92 TXP5 and formerly from Lower Main Street, Letterkenny and Newtowncunningham.

Deeply missed by his loving sons and daughters Isabel and husband Mick Lagan (Rathdonnell), Liam and wife Margaret (Stranorlar), Geraldine and husband Jim Bradley (Ennis, Co. Clare), Keith and wife Sheelagh (Derry), Brenda and husband John Dillon (Letterkenny) and Maria and husband Karl Doherty (Derry), 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours. Patsy is predeceased by his wife Grace, infant daughter Josephine and his parents Joseph and Isabella.

Patsy’s remains are reposing at his late residence today, Monday, October 21 from 5pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd October from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Wednesday morning, 23rd October at 10:30am going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Monica Long, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Monica Long, Hilltop, Carrickmagrath, Ballybofey, F93 DKD7, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved daughter of the late John and Bridget (Mc Menamin), much-loved wife of Harry, and devoted mother of Melanie, Miranda, Candida, and Duane, cherished sister of Angela, Shaun and the late Vera and Dee.

Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by her husband, son, daughters, brother, sister, sons in law, daughter in law, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and very many friends.

Reposing at her late residence on Monday, October 21 from 6.30pm.

Removal from her late residence on Wednesday, October 23 at 10.15 am for Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill at 11am.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

The death has taken place at her home of Janet Elizabeth Leeper, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham, formerly of 12 Catholic Lane, Sedgley, West Midlands England.

Janet will be forever loved and sadly missed by her husband William, extended family circle, friends and neighbours.

Her remains will repose at her home.

The death has occurred of Roseann McKinney, nee Fullerton (Nipper), The Big House, Ballymagan, Buncrana, Co Donegal.

Roseann is predeceased by her husband Danny, her parents Johnny and Mary, her siblings Eddie, Patsy, Josie, Johnny, James, Kathleen and Sally.

She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her family Catherine, Shaun, Donal, Edward, Mary, and her grandchildren David, Jonathan, Jayne, Danny, Max, Cassie, Hollyrose, Oscar, Caodhan, Darcy, Patrick.

Her much loved siblings Willie, Alec, Mickey, Danny, Winnie, Charlie, Susan, Eileen, her daughters in law, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, friends and her loyal customers.

Roseann’s remains will be reposing at her home from 10am on Monday, October 21.

Mary McLaughlin, Gleneely

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary McLaughlin, St Joseph’s, Gleneely, F93 A384.
Predeceased by her much-loved husband Patrick and her brothers Cahil and Michael.

Much loved mother of Frances, Charlie and Patricia and a devoted granny of Charlie, Cahir, Aideen and Conal.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Kathleen, her son-in-law Eoin, her brother Jack, her sisters Bridget, Celia and Kathleen, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Mary’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN on Monday, October 21 at 1pm going to her home.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, October 23 at 10.30am from 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bocan followed by interment in Bocan graveyard.

The death has taken place in Buncrana Community Hospital of Martin Davis, 31 Marian Park, Buncrana.

Son of the late John and Molly RIP, dear father of Jason and brother of Betty, Camilla, Kenny and Patrick.

Ronan O’Raghallaigh (O’Reilly), Longford and Dunfanaghy

The death has occurred of Ronan O’ Raghallaigh (O’Reilly), Main St, Newtownforbes, Longford and Dunfanaghy.

Ronan died peacefully, surrounded by his family in the wonderful care of the staff of Laural Lodge Nursing Home, on 20/10/2024.

Predeceased by his parents Séamus and Caitlín, brother Feargus.

Ronan will be sadly missed by his loving family, brothers Eirnín, Ulatán, Feilim and Tomás, sisters Dairine and Siún, brother-in-law Frank, sisters-in-law Ann and Brídín, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Marina Thompson, Ramelton

The death has occurred of Marina Thompson 3, Lennon View, Ramelton. She passed away peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her family. Deeply regretted by her sons Peter,and Raymond, her many relatives and friends.

Prayer Service in Letterkenny Funeral Home (Eircode F92 P407) at 11am on Tuesday, October 22 followed by interment in St Colmcille's Churchyard, Glenalla, Co Donegal.

Matthew Magee, Bundoran

The death has taken place of Silverhill, West End, Bundoran and formerly of Derrymacash, Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

Beloved partner of the late Bernadette Cassidy, son of the late Matthew Magee and brother of the late Laura. Matthew will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his adoring children, Tracy (Evan), Shauna (Marek), Sean (Ciara), Michael (Rebekah), Matthew Jnr, Owen (Dana) and Ruth (Joshua), his beloved grandchildren Logan, Daisy, Ezekiel, Myles, Korey, Mason and Leon, his heartbroken mother Maureen, his brothers Jamie, John, Harry and Colin his sister Linda, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and all his many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his daughter Tracy, No.1, Celtic Cross View, Tullaghan, Co. Leitrim (eircode F91E6W2) on Wednesday, October 23 from 2pm to 8pm, all welcome.

Removal on Thursday to his mother's residence at 39 Kilvergan Rd, Derrymacash, Lurgan, Co Armagh to repose there. Removal from there on Friday morning October 25 to St Patrick's Church, Derrymacash, Lurgan for Mass of the Resurrection (time to be confirmed) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Breslin, London and Buncrana

The death has taken place of Kathleen Breslin, Palmers Green, London, formerly of Buncrana.

Predeceased by her husband Brian. A much-loved mother of Karen and Brian.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her grandchildren Megan, Chloe, Lilly and Scarlett, her nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. 

Funeral Mass will take place at St Monica's Catholic Church, Palmers Green on Monday, October 21 at 11.30am.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 26 at St Mary’s, Cockhill, Buncrana.

John Wilson, Fahan and St Johnston

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of John Wilson, Church Brae, Fahan and formerly St Johnston.

John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife Jane, sons Kiéran (Nicola), Shaun (Doreen) and Garet (Isabel), grandchildren Rebecca, Daniel, Conor, Ryan, Oran and Oisín; his brothers Tom and Brendan, sister Celine McHugh, extended family, friends and neighbours.

John’s remains will be reposing at his home from 11am on Sunday, October 20 where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Removal from there on Tuesday October 22 at 10.15am to St Mura’s Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in St Baithin’s Graveyard, St. Johnston.

The death has taken place of Catherine Brophy, née Mulhern, 5 Maple Court, Athlone, Westmeath and formerly of Meenreagh, Killybegs.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick, her parents Anne and John, her sister Anne and Peg (Breslin), her infant sister Brigid and her brother Tommy. Sadly missed by her loving son Michael, daughter Anne, daughter-in-law Beatrice and son-in-law Pat, her five adoring grandchildren Ellen, Patrick, Mary, Peter and David, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Her remains are reposing at her residence on Monday from 2pm until 6pm.

Requiem Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan on Tuesday at 10.30am followed by burial afterwards in Killybegs Graveyard.
