David Ray Sn., (William), Renmore, Galway and formerly Dunfanaghy
The death has occurred of David Ray Sn., (William), Dun-na-Mara, Renmore, Galway, formerly of Louisburgh, Co. Mayo and Dunfanaghy.
David died peacefully in his 88th year with his family by his side, at the Bon Secours Hospital Galway.
Devoted husband for 63 years of Joan (née Scanlon, Louisburgh) and much-loved father of David Jnr., Fidelma, Peter, Brendan, Eamonn, Marie and Justin. Predeceased by his parents David and Mary and by his sister Ena (Reykjavik, Iceland).
Deeply mourned by his wife, sons and daughters, cherished grandchildren David (Boston) , Alison, Aisling, Sinéad, Katie, Chris (Bolton), Adam, Jamie, Luke, Jessica, Conall and Laoise and very precious great-granddaughter Maleea. He will be sadly missed also by his daughters-in-law Teresa, Severine and Aoife, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Áras Naofa, (H91 YV52) within the grounds of the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Renmore on Friday from 2.30pm to 4pm.
A requiem Mass will be celebrated for David on Christmas Eve.He will be laid to rest in Rinville cemetery, Oranmore at 11.30am. Family flowers only. Donations to the Galway Parkinson's Association.
Treasa Sweeney, Rosbeg
The death has taken place at Killybegs Community Hospital of Mary Treasa Sweeney, Eden, Rosbeg, Portnoo.
Deeply regretted by her loving husband Hugh. Sadly missed by her brothers Geard (Galway), Michael (Longford), Shaun (England) and sisters Liz (England) Anne (Dunkineely), Margaret (Dunkineely), Kitty (deceased) and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.
Her remains reposed overnight at St Conal's Church, Kilclooney.
Funeral Mass on Friday afternoon at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Paddy Doherty, Burnfoot
The death has occurred at Brindley Manor Private Nursing Home of Paddy Doherty (Chuck), 287 The Cottages, Burnfoot.
Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his brother Eddie and sister Margaret. Much loved father of Paul, Amanda, Eugene, Margaret, Jacqueline and Michelle and dear brother of Lily, Charlie, Tommy and Hughie.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his daughters, sons, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brothers, his wider family circle and his many friends.
His remains are reposing at his home. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.
Removal from his home on Saturday at 10.15am going to St Mura's Church, Fahan for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Paddy's Requiem Mass can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/fahan

John Harkin, Termon
The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Harkin, Clonkillymore, Termon.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Betty, daughters Marian (Howe, Portsalon), Helen (Murray, Manorcunningham), Annette (Maughan, Killala), Eilish (Silvermines, County Tipperary), Sara (Termon) and sons James (Falcarragh), Edward, John and Hugh (Termon). Predeceased by his sisters Essie (Trentagh) and Kathleen (Termon). Sadly missed by his family, sister-in-law Sally, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 22 much loved grandchildren, sisters Mary (San Francisco), Anne (Letterkenny), Evelyn (Creeslough), Margery (Kerrykeel) and brothers Seamus (Glasgow) and Eamonn (Kilmacrennan).
His remains will be reposing at his late residence from 12noon to 10pm on Thursday and Friday with Rosary each night at 9pm. House private from 10pm and on the morning of the funeral. Shuttle bus will run from the Termon Hall from 12noon each day.
Funeral from there on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 11am in St Columba's Church, Termon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only; donations in-lieu, if desired to Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital care of any family member.

Joe Cannon, Carrick and Dublin
The death has occurred peacefully, at Tallaght Hospital of Joseph (Joe) Cannon (Snr), Springfield, Tallaght and formerly of Carrick.
Beloved husband of Valerie and much loved dad of Simon, Joey and Ross. Joe will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11am in St Mark’s Church, Springfield and afterwards for burial in Bohernabreena Cemetery. Mass can be viewed at https://stmarksspringfield.org/live-stream/
Peggy McDonnell, Buncrana and Antrim
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Peggy McDonnell, 21 Summerhill, Buncrana and formerly of Ballycastle, County Antrim.
Predeceased by her husband Hugh. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her sons, and daughter Kevin, Eugene, Cathal and Margaret, son-in-law, grandchildren, her wider family circle and friends.
Her remains are reposing at her home. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

Evelyn Martin, Laghey
The death has occurred of Evelyn Martin (née Horan), Cormullin, Laghey.
Beloved wife of James, mother of Tracy, John and Gerard. Evelyn is very fondly remembered by her grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and extended family. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Mary, Melda and Phil, her brothers Sean, Gerry, and Pat, her neighbours and close family friend Teresa. She is predeceased by her parents Gerry and Maureen, her brother Tony and niece Siobhan.

Kathleen Fox, Letterkenny
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Kathleen Fox, 9 Lower Ard O'Donnell, Letterkenny, F92 FT5E.
Deeply missed by her sister Mary and husband Joseph Jurofcik (New York), nephew Joel and wife Stella (New York) and niece Michelle and husband Michael Wheeler (Boston), extended family, friends and neighbours.

Mary Ann McKenna, Glasgow and Cloghan
The sudden death has taken place at her home in Glasgow on Tuesday, December 13, of Mary Ann McKenna, née Magee, formerly of Ballykerrigan, Cloghan.
She is survived by her children Anne, Molly, Kate, Gerard, Michael, also her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew. Pre-deceased by her husband, Charlie and baby son Bernard.
Funeral Mass will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church, Maryhill, Glasgow on Friday, December 23 at 12 noon, thereafter to Lambhill Cemetery at 1.15pm.
