A meeting of two very special people

Arranmore Island's oldest and youngest residents meet to say hello

The oldest and youngest members of the Arranmore Island community met up recently - and posed for a few photographs that will surely be cherished for many years to come.

Bridget Ward Gallagher and Rhea Reynolds, separated by over 95 years, got to meet up at the Arranmore Day Centre.

Bridget is 96 years young and Rhea is just six  months.

Little Rhea is the great-granddaughter of the King of Arranmore Eddie Mary Ann Boyle.

Our thanks to the staff at Arranmore Day Centre for sending us these beautiful pics of two very special island citizens.
