Storm Éowyn cause serious damage to Donegal in January
A sum of €10,000 funding has been awarded to the Bluestack Way, following storm damage.
Works will involve removing blocking and dangerous trees along the route following Storm Éowyn to reopen the Bluestack Way in its entirety again.
Minister for Social Protection and Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary, announced the funding under the Walks Scheme Development Fund.

Pat the Cope Gallagher, who is a big advocate of walking, has welcomed the announcement to support and enhance the Bluestack Way.
“The funding will go towards the removal of damaged trees along the walkway,” he said. “It is hoped that the walkway will reopen when the works are carried out. This news has been warmly welcomed by local councillors Michael Naughton and Anthony Molloy.”
