Donegal Railway Heritage Museum is hosting a special event for Nollag na mBan
Donegal Railway Heritage Museum is hosting a special 18th century themed event to celebrate Nollaig na mBan, or Women’s Christmas.
Niamh Coughlan of Donegal Town Walking Tours is hosting “Get Ready With Me”, described as a celebration of 18th century dress. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 6 at 3pm in the Donegal Railway Heritage Museum in Donegal Town.
Attendees can enjoy afternoon tea and a lighthearted look at how a fashionable 18th century lady would have prepared for an evening with friends.

Nollaig na mBan is celebrated in Ireland on January 6. Traditionally, it is a day for women to get out and enjoy themselves while the men would stay home and look after the chores.
