The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Donegal Branch will host its annual St Brigid’s Eve Cross-Making Celebration.

The event will be held on Sunday night, February 1, in Jimmy’s Tavern, Mountcharles, beginning at 8pm.

This much-loved traditional gathering celebrates the eve of St Brigid’s Day, where members of the community come together to make St Brigid’s Crosses, sharing stories, skills and hospitality in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is warmly invited to attend and take part, whether experienced or new to the tradition.

The evening will conclude with the blessing of the St Brigid’s Crosses by Fr Liam Boyle PP, adding a spiritual dimension to this important cultural and religious custom.
