Persistent speculation that a buyer has been found for the Bay View Hotel, Killybegs is unfounded.
A source close to the business confirmed to the Donegal Democrat yesterday that, although discussions are ongoing with “a number of interested parties, no sale is imminent.”
The 3 star, 40 bedroom hotel and leisure centre, which employed up to 35 people, went into receivership and closed just over a year ago.
The current building, which dates from 1994, replaced the original hotel which stood on the site for more than 170 years.
