Planning permission has been granted for motorhome, glamping and camping park in north Donegal.

Donegal County Council has given the go-ahead for the tourism initiative at  Devlinmore, Carrigart.

The development includes a touring motorhome stopover park with 20 designated motorhome plots, a glamping area with eight glamping pods, a building to accommodate toilets, showers, washing areas and changing facilities as well as a camping area.

Two objections were lodged to the development which raised concern about the erosion of the public road due to traffic, the impact on pedestrians using the local roads,  and concerns about noise and light pollution.

The council granted planning permission with nine conditions.
