Gardaí in the county have urged drivers only travel if necessary.
The R250 road at Meenaroy is blocked with vehicles caught in the snow.
Donegal County Council says staff are on site attempting to clear the road.
The road is one of those across the county that has been affected by difficult driving conditions due to snow brought by Storm Eunice.
Council gritters have been deployed to clear the road the Back of Errigal Road which is impassible due to snow. Donegal County Council has advised drivers to use the N56 route instead.
The R244 between Drumfree and Carndonagh is now passible but motorists are advised to proceed with care. Part of the road had been closed due earlier on Friday due to heavy snowfall.
