Moville family raises €3,000 for Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital

The Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital has expressed its gratitude to the McElroy family from Glencrow, Moville, following two recent fundraising initiatives which raised almost €3,000 in support of the charity.

A total of €2,450 was donated following the 40th birthday celebrations of Edward McElroy last year. The milestone was particularly significant for Edward and his family, as it marked a birthday he was never expected to reach.

The family also raised a further €540 through donations made in lieu of flowers following the recent passing of their mother, Anne McElroy.

In total, the two fundraising efforts contributed €2,990 to the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, which supports patients and services at the hospital through the funding of equipment and other initiatives.

The charity thanked the McElroy family for their generosity and support.

"The Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital are very grateful to the McElroy family from Glencrow, Moville, for their recent donations," a spokesperson said.

"The Friends are very appreciative of the McElroy family's encouragement of their efforts in supporting Letterkenny University Hospital."
