Neil McGee was never one to shirk a 50/50 – and the Gaoth Dobhair man came out on top in another one on Christmas Eve.

This time, the former Donegal full-back netted himself a cool €1,500.

McGee was the jackpot winner in the Christmas 50:50 draw of neighbouring club Dungloe.

McGee retired from inter-county football in 2022 after making a record 195 appearances for Donegal.

McGee made his Donegal debut in 2005 and won five Ulster SFC titles.

Full-back on the Donegal side that won the 2012 All-Ireland, McGee is a three-time All-Star and won the 2018 Ulster club crown with Gaoth Dobhair.
