A man is set to go on trial on two charges of assault causing harm and producing an article during a dispute.

Roy Morrow, a 36-year-old with an address at Silverwood, Ballybofey, appeared at Letterkenny District Court this week.

Sergeant Jim Collins gave evidence of serving a book of evidence on Morrow, who did not speak during the brief hearing.

Morrow is charged with two counts of assault causing harm and faces another charge of producing an article in the course of a dispute.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed that the accused be forwarded to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court, which commences on May 2, 2023.

Judge Éiteáin Cunningham administered the alibi warning and made a section 56 order relating to videos of interviews.

Judge Cunningham made a return for trial order and granted bail in Morrow's own bond of €200, nil cash.
