East Donegal National School applies for new all-weather sports pitch

Decision on Dromore National School application to be heard by July 20
An East Donegal National School has submitted a planning permission application to Donegal County Council for the construction of an all-weather sports pitch.
Mary McGranaghan, the Principal of Dromore National School near Killygordon, is the listed applicant for the submission, applying for the construction of an all-weather sports pitch including a three-metre-wide footpath from the pitch perimeter, along with the installation of 1.2-metre-high perimeter fencing, the erection of eight 18-metre-high lighting standards and the creation of a new vehicular entrance and all associated site works.
The planned facility will add to Dromore National School’s current sports facilities, which include an indoor P.E hall, an outdoor astroturf pitch, and a ball court, where a wide variety of sports are played, such as hurling, Gaelic football, soccer, basketball and athletics.
Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the submitted application for July 20.
